Baraka Point, is a 9,500 sq.ft. luxury ocean front estate-villa at Nail Bay, on the west coast of Virgin Gorda, offering guests their own corner of paradise with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the neighbouring islands.
Designed around the concepts of privacy and relaxed elegance, Baraka Point consists of a series of copper-peaked pavilions set apart in two acres of tropically landscaped gardens, and decorated with silks and furnishings from India, Morocco and Indonesia. The palette is one of Caribbean colours blended to be in harmony with the natural backdrop of the sea, the sky and Gorda Peak which rises majestically behind the villa. There is a main pavilion encompassing the living, lounging and dining areas of the villa where guests can gather to enjoy time together or retreat to the privacy of their individually decorated suites for a siesta or some quiet time with a book or DVD from Baraka Points extensive library.
The main pavilion has a sweeping sun terrace leading on to an infinity edge pool with unparalleled views, and there is a second terrace for alfresco dining or relaxation in the villas giant teak hammock. A large wooden sun deck set in the boulders by the waters edge provides guests with an idyllic spot to watch spectacular BVI sunsets while enjoying a freshly prepared Baraka Point cocktail or a glass of chilled champagne.
There are three additional pavilions housing five individually decorated ocean view suites plus four small bedrooms for children, thus accommodating up to 14 guests (with a maximum of 10 adults). An additional two infants can be accommodated in cribs provided by Baraka Point. Each suite has a separate entrance and a private deck or terrace, the master suite has its own plunge pool, and two of the suites have indoor as well as outdoor showers. All suites are equipped with DVD/TVs, stereos, quality linens, towels, and bathrobes as well as Aromatherapy Associates (London) bathroom amenities.
The property is rented as one unit and guests have exclusive use of the entire estate and all amenities and services throughout their stay. Baraka Point offers comprehensive guest services including a full time private chef from New Zealand, and a fully flexible meal plan (the chef cooks to the guests tastes and charges only for meals he cooks for you). There is a wine cellar, a gourmet kitchen plus an Italian wood burning pizza oven in the garden as well as many other special features that will appeal to gourmands, and to families who want to try their hand at making wood-fired pizzas!
In the way of fitness and entertainment Baraka Point has a well-equipped fitness room, four mountain bikes and two sea kayaks as well as 10 snorkel sets. Guests might enjoy taking a guided tour of the spectacular reef at Baraka Point which is home to a large variety of fish and hawksbill turtles. In addition to having direct access down the estates stone steps to this fantastic snorkelling beach, Baraka Point also has access to two secluded swimming beaches-Mountain Trunk Bay is a five minute walk from the property and Long Bay is a seven minute cycle away.
For those guests preferring to relax indoors there is satellite television, a wide screen digital TV, a Playstation 2 console and a large collection of board games, CDs, DVDs and books in Baraka Points library. And for guests needing or wishing to stay in touch with the outside world there is a laptop and wireless internet access throughout the property, including by the pool!
For the ultimate in relaxation experiences Baraka Points full time spa therapist offers a range of spa treatments including hot stone massage, exfoliation scrubs, and facials as well as Yoga and Pilates classes in the propertys Balinese Relaxation Pavilion (for the exclusive use of our guests). For families with young children the services of a qualified nanny are available if desired, and our concierge can assist with dinner reservations and activities for guests-all they need do is ask. The chef and all staff (spa therapist/yoga instructor, housekeepers, gardeners, & pool man) live off site to ensure guests privacy and they endeavour to be attentive, but discreet.
