Unique to the Virgin Islands, Anegada is a flat coral and limestone island. Its highest point is only 28ft above sea level and miles of isolated white beaches line the northern and western shores. The third largest reef in the world, Horseshoe Reef, extends 11 miles to the southeast of Anegada and hosts hundreds of shipwrecks, creating unlimited potential for divers.

Anegada has little soil and 15 contiguous miles of pristine, undeveloped white sand beaches. For years Anegada's remoteness has endeared it to sailors and land lubbers seeking a pristine, romantic destination. Anegada is a place for people seeking total relaxation. Or those seeking the quiet tranquility of miles of deserted white sand beaches.
Thee are several restaurants specializing in local lobster and seafood, which is caught right there in the waters surrounding the island. Toes in the sand type restaurants are Cow Wreck, Big Bamboo, Anegada Reef, Flash of Bauty, Dotsy Diner and Neptunes' Treasure.
There's an airstrip with flights from Tortola, San Juan, St. Thomas and Virgin Gorda. The flight is very interesting as you can see miles and miles of white sand beaches, coral reefs, the salt pond and undeveloped landscape. Only 200 people live on the island.

THINGS TO DO
Bonefishing, deep-sea fishing, snoreling, diving, visit the Flamingo Pond and the Iguana Headstart Program, take an Island Tour, Visit the gift and pottery shops and Pomato Point museum with shipwreck lore. Mainly just limin'! (do nothing)

MONEY: The US$ is the currency. MASTER CARD and VISA are accepted at most establishments.

FISHING PERMITS - You are not allowed to remove any marine organism from BVI waters. For information regarding fishing permits, call the Fisheries Division at 284-494-3429.

DRESS � We are more than just a beach! In order to keep from offending residents, wear proper attire when in residential and commercial areas (no bare chests or midriffs).

DRUGS The possession, sale, use or distribution of illegal drugs offers a criminal offence punishable by law and conviction on drug charges can lead to stiff fines and jail sentences.
